In April 2012 the department, in line with our commitment to communicate timely, accurate and cost effective key information to customers, introduced a new text message service to keep farmers informed on important issues and filing deadlines
The use of this facility is carefully managed so that key information can be quickly and efficiently sent to a maximum number of customers through either text messages or emails. These texts will include information on Scheme Deadlines, Payments, Farm Safety, Animal Health issues and other alerts.
Customers can opt out of receiving these messages at any time by following the simple free return text instructions on each message.
In order to reach the maximum number of customers we hope to hold on our records a mobile phone number and email address for each of our customers.
