From the N1, N2 or N3 : Take the M50 orbital motorway south to the Westlink Toll Bridge. Once through the toll and across the bridge immediately take the slip road off the M50 up to the N4 i.e. Galway Road; go around the roundabout to the N4 westbound (signposted for Lucan/ Maynooth/ Galway). [If you are coming from the south, travel north on the M50 to the slip road/roundabout onto the N4].
Proceed along the N4 for about 4 miles (through one set of lights), pass the Spa Hotel and take the next slip road to the left (past Kew Park after McCoy Motors Toyota Garage) signposted for Celbridge and Leixlip; which leads up to a T-junction, turn left at this junction, signposted to Celbridge.
(If you are travelling east along the N4 from the Maynooth direction, pass the Celbridge South interchange and take the next left slip-road signed to Lucan. You should see the same directional signs at the top of the slip road - i.e. to Celbridge and Leixlip, follow the sign towards Celbridge).
After a few hundred metres you will past Weston Aerodrome on your right side, continue on about a further mile and you will see the laboratory complex to your left just before you reach a cross-roads with traffic lights. Take the left turn onto a minor road (Stacumny Lane) at this cross-roads. The entrance is at a 'stone type' gate with a security hut, about 300M up this road on the left.
From the N7 (Naas direction) : Take the exit for Newcastle and continue straight through Newcastle until, as you leave Newcastle, you see a right turn signposted for Celbridge. After a few miles, just as you reach Celbridge, turn right onto the Celbridge to Lucan road and continue for about two miles until you reach a cross-roads with traffic lights. You should be able to see the laboratory complex at this junction. Turn right onto a minor road (Stacumny Lane) at this cross-roads. The entrance is at a 'stone type' gate with a security hut, about 300M up this road on the left.
Inside the entrance gate there is an access control barrier where you will need to 'check in' with security. The Department of Agriculture Laboratories Building is the long building that you arrive at if you follow the internal roadway to the left. Continue to follow the main internal road past all the car parks around to the end of the long Agriculture Laboratories Building. After you pass a lake on your left take the next right turn to the Dublin Regional Veterinary Laboratory Post Mortem reception area.
